yo wassup guys i have a 88 crx HF with an 89 crx SI motor in it and i was told that there should be a external coil??? or something like that connected to the distributor cap? but i only have 4 wires coming from the cap so i was wondering where the COIL? is? and how would i go about on fixing that or replacing it?? im such a newbie so yea i replaced the cap and rotor about a week ago and now it doesnt want to start. i hear it cranking but it wont turn over.

"Cranking" is the same thing as "turning over." It is impossible for the engine to "crank" and not "turn over." Either it doesn't turn over, or it turns over and doesn't fire.

The coil is inside the distributor.

There is no external coil unless you did what I did and buy the MSD cap which lets you run a external one.
