Let's say I removed the door panels on my 4th gen Civic hatch and peeled off the ugly vinyl. What would I find, and mainly, most importantly, is this surface paintable? Reason I ask is because I can't seem to find the right color vinyl dye to match the color paint I wantand I don't want to deal w/material either (fleece,tweed,etc.) and I wonder if I can just take the vinyl off, sand her down & paint?

 

its plastic but it will be rough from all the years the glue was on there. yes you can do it but i dont know how good it will look

 

I would like to see a pic of it done before I rip apart my vinyl though. Any ideas?

 

i had a two old ones that had all of that off. its really rough. i am sure if you look around or on ebay they may have something.
