Default Crx intake question

I'm looking for a good cold air intake for my car, I have my battery in the hatch so I have room for a bigger one. I was looking for the most gains and maybe a 3" pipe. Thanks

I would just get an ebay intake and use a K & N filter. There's not too many differences in CAI systems.

Sorry posted twice on accident.
Anyway, there was a thread on here somewhere that talked about CAIs... It was agreed that most CAIs are the same and getting an Ebay one with a K & N filter is as good as more expensive ones.

A CAI won't yeild much of a power gain in a Honda motor unless you have the other mods which would require you to have a greater, cooler airflow (i.e. wider throttle body, larger intake manifold, ported head, header, wider exhaust). The only time you will see a significant power gain in any motor just from the addition of a CAI is if it has a large displacement.

on a n/a engine your engine sucks in air so if you make it breathe easier it will always help...what most people tend to generalize is the sound is louder and more aggressive and you think the car is that much faster when its is really not

the bigger the displacement the bigger the gains - but that is true with all mods...but honda engines do cram a lot of air through them in high rpms so you will get some added power but nothing significant

what is written above between all the messages are all true and what they said about an ebay intake system is fine but i wouldn't stop at an ebay cold air intake for a crx try fitting a 95 del sol front mounted cold air intake instead of using a cone filter it uses a flat box filter in the mouth of ur front bumper better if u have a body kit with a large mouth like a blitz or invader front but works well with anything
