Default Steering

Hi everyone, I need help. My problem is, when I steer to either right or left, I here a hitting noise under the motor. Well, in front of the car. Now, most of the time, I hear it when I'm turning slow. But it's not the axles bcuz it did it before and after I changed the axle. It also does the sound sometimes when I hit the breaks kinda hard. Now, I don't know if it's two different sounds, but it's scary. I think it has somehting to do with the steering components, but I can't be sure. Sometimes, when I turn it does it more then one time too. It's like a crack, crack crack, but quick. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the axle. If you say you fixed the axle though than I don't have a clue. I let mine do that till it broke and I had to tow it and replace it.

No, it's not the axle. It was replaces 4 months ago, so I highly doubt it is it. Plus, it did it before.
