Default How would it fit?

Ok, I have a '91 Civic hatch, with 17x7, 42 offset rims. I haven't lowered it, but I want to know what would be a good height to lower it to. I was thinking 1 1/2 inch to get right to the wells. I want about .5 inch gap or less between the rim and well. I think I might also need to roll the fenders as I am almost positive it will hit. Please help, and send pix if you have some. Thanks.

Just measure how much gap there is betwen your fender now and your wheel, and that will tell u how much u need to drop your car to get a .5 inch gap. I myself would not drop it that far, due to the harshness of the ride. I bought tein s-techs which dropped my crx about 1.5" in the front and 1" in the rear on 16"s. Awesome ride quality, but has a very lowered look. Do a little more research. U can probably find alot of information on ebay. H & Rs will drop your car 2.25" front and 2" rear, if u need more of a drop, but your suspension will be much stiffer than stock, plus you'll probably need stiffer struts for these springs. Moral of the story is choose wisely to find a good setup for what you're gonna be doing with this car.

See, this is my 3rd car that I dropped, so I know the suspension ride. I know it's going to hit the bumps HARD. But I have about 2 inch gap now, so i was thinking 1.5 drop should make the car look nicer. I want to go with sleeve/spring set-up bcuz I know they hardly bottom out, and since I'm always carying people in my car, it can't bottom out.
