i have a problem, i recently purchased a 91 si shell and i swapped a mini-me motor i had from my old dx into this car and now im having some issues. not typical ones though. everything is hooked up correct with the motor and what not but here is the problem. when the car is on the ground and i turn the key to start the car only the engine light and the break light comes on, no fuel pump radio or clock. here is the weird part when the car is jacked up in the air and i do the same thing, the car starts like a dream. the car used to have a alarm system on it and i thought that might be the issue but i took it out and rewired everything up the way it should be and it still does it. im getting pretty aggrivated with and i dont know if you have any idea on what it is

 

Check all your wiring. Look for unplugged harnesses, shorts in the wiring, etc... Lifting the car could either be undoing the short(like a wire touching body and lifting the car lifts the wire off the body), or pushing the harness slightly into place, thus enabling the care to start.

 

ya it definatly sounds like a short within you wiring
