Default Phantom Grip LSD for my S1 Tranny?

Well, I was thinking of putting a Phantom Grip LSD in my car, because I can't afford the real thing. LOL. Are they that hard to put in?

The most common nickname I've heard is "Phantom Slip." You can get used OEM ITR LSDs off eBay pretty reasonable. Do a search for the user "Japandy."

Yeah, that's a good compromise.

phantom grips aren't that good. I'm using an OBX and before anyone says anything shitty about it let me say this. I got it because I was curious if it was a real thing or not. I don't mind spending the money on it to find out. Next season when the track opens I'll be able to really abuse it and say wether it worked or not. I read a lot about the LSD's and was able to tell that the Phantom grips are actually a bad idea becuase all it is is 2 pieces of metal held apart by springs that lock your spider gears together in your stock diff. People also talk a lot of crap about the OBX LSD but I was never able to find someone who had it, just someone whose friend had it and that doesn't work for me. So I'm gonna give it a shot.
