Default tech question about injectors

searched the forums , read some books however i'm still confused.

what is the difference between
high impedance
low impedance - needs a resistor box?
saturated
peak and hold

Peak and Hold = Low impedance 1.7-3.0 ohms
Saturated = High impedance 10-16 ohms

The addition of a resistor box allows low impedance injectors to run on a standard injector output signal. Similarly, high impedance injectors can be run in low impedance cars by removing the resistor box.
