Default crx dohc zc head shave

hi,i have a dohc zc swap and i was wondering how much you can shave off the head without piston to valve.i have adjustable cam gears and stock head gasket.thanks

i have aem adjustable cam gears so setting the timing shouldnt be an issue.
should it?

Not much... I wouldn't trust them shaved any more then a standard resurface job.

Why do you want to shave it? There are much better ways to make power out of a ZC (or any engine, for that matter) then shaving the head.

i want to make 200hp all motor, and still be a daily driver.

I shaved mine .040 without issue. Still a lot of the buttons left. Just look at that combustion chamber and the huge lip on it. There's plenty to shave. Someone on ZCR shaved theirs .080 and decked the block .030 without any valve/piston clearance issues.

200 hp with cams headwork and hondata ecu?
