Default Newbie.....Seeking info on B16

Hey, seeking some info on the b16. Honestly I know nothing about hondas... .anyways my dad picked up a 88 crx si as a winter car, and my question is what kinda horsepower figures are we looking at. I believe its a B16. I know the engine has been bored with performance pistons but to what figure piston i dont know, aswell as headers and cam. I know it hauls my old corolla (3tccccc)

Well, look on the front of the motor for the block stamp. There you will find what kind of motor you have. The stock '88 CRX Si came with a D16, not a B16. So if you picked up a car that has another motor swapped in it's difficult to give you specs on it, especially if it's been modified. If a swapped motor is the case then you should try and find out all the details from the previous owner; only they would know exaclty what you have under the hood.

Also, try a search for topics on the B16 if you want to learn. There has been so much discussion on this that there is plenty to absorb till your hearts' content
