Default Question about new pistons with stock rods!

Well, I want to get my car to go faster, but I dont want to add a turbo, because of the money and what not. I would like to put some Type R pistons in it, but will it be a stupid move to put them on stock rods, or is it ok, will the stock rods hold up? If the stock rods will hold up and be fine I will stick with them. But I am really tight on money and don't want to buy new rods if I don't have to.

is this for a b-series? if so i think stock rods will be fine with type r pistons. it only raises compression to like 11.9 or something. its high, but nothing ridiculous.

as for turbo...thats extremely generic. i wouldnt try to turbo a car that had that high of a compression ratio. as for the rods...you can make at least 250whp on stock b-series rods. around 210-220 whp on a d-series.
