Default b16 ecu question.

I have a b16 2nd gen. in my crx, the person i bought the motor from sent a bad ecu so so converted it to obd0 and used the d16 ecu till i can get another. Is that a bad idea? Thanks

as long as the engine has the same ODB

when i sent off my ecu, for the b16a, to get chipped, i used my original crx obd0 ecu, and it worked temporarily. the engine didn't have vtec and flashed an engine code.
