Is this electric supercharger a P.O.S.?
I was just searching for superchargers for a 91 crx si to get an idea on prices. I saw where the Jackson Racing one was around 2 grand brand new, which in my opinion is way to costly for the stock crx si motor. Anyway, this must be a P.O.S. Is it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda...spagenameZWDVW
i've seen a video on streetfire.net where someone used a leaf blower to increase their hp on a dyno. it worked, but you can imagine how much that leaned out the fuel mixture.
you can buy a similiar blower at a marine store or wal mart. it seems to be a pretty crappy thing to do.
cheapiness doesn't make up for real work. if you want real horsepower gains you're going to have to get dirty.

I know if you search under "electric supercharger," the 5 threads you will see say it's complete waste of money.
the throttle body pulls more air then the electric supercharger so really all the EC does is take of space and decreases air flow. Not to mention the cheap plastic blades on there break off and fly out your exhuast.
