What is Code 6?

Well, I got a code 6 on my car and I don't know what it is. What is it?

Code 6 : Engine Coolant Temperature sensor.

Check the wiring to the sensor, then check the sensor resistance by temperature.

does the vtech kick ? if so just reset the ECU by pulling the fuse under the shock tower.. pull it out and wait for 30 seconds.. that should take care of it.. good luck

Vtec will not engage if your ecu is flashing a code or CEL is on, even if you've fixed the problem. You have to reset the ecu, then see if everything is okay.
