Default Introduction & Question - drivers window

Hi everyone. I hate to start a first post with a question, but I'd like to get my problem solved before I bring my CRX in for inspection.

First, some background.

I've been looking for a crx for quite some time now, and I've finally bought one!

I'm the proud new owner of a 1991 CRX SI - 106,000 miles, new clutch, new tires, no leaks, dosn't burn oil, and a no-rust underside. (in fact, the bushings are still supple)

The body needs some work, but overall it's very minor. The interior is mint.

The A/C blows cold, and all of the devices & instruments work. (a few burnt out instrument lights, but I'll replace those tomorrow)

I have a lot of plans, but for right now I'm incredibly happy with the car!

I live in Northeast Pennsylvania, and my garage is happy to have the new addition.

I come from a Jeep Wrangler background, and I'm pretty handy with cars... but I know very little about sportscars, nevertheless imports.

That's the good, here's the bad:

I have a problem with the drivers side window, which I have not been able to solve.

When it rolls down, it makes a slight clunk. When I roll it back up, the top of the window seems to get kicked out by the weatherstripping, and it does not hug the window frame.

Additionally, the front of the window dosn't roll up all the way. (Which compounds the problem) Meaning, the rear of the window is slightly above the window frame, and the front hasn't reached the frame yet.

I read here that you adjust the roller guide bolts to correct this problem. However, my vehicle is different than the picture, and has the seatbelt mechinism attached to the door.

Please see the attached pictures: (pics may load slow, comming off of my home server)

Here's a shot of the roller bolt that the above mentioned pdf suggested adjusting. I adjusted it all the way down, and it didn't help.

Here's what I meant when I said the window dosn't hug tight to the car.

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

I don't think the 'clunk' I mentioned has a direct effect on this.

The window was broken sometime in the past, because I found some glass in the bottom of the door.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I'll enjoy being part of the CRX community!
