my wife's auto civic ex sedan still weighs in under 2600lbs...not bad consider the car's huge inside...much larger than my old 94 accord ex sedan

 

hey Jaje hows that protege5. Any mods on it yet.

 

it's been a good car so far (only has 700 miles on it)...the power windows all go up at different speeds...the drivers side window just started making a clicking sound...5-4 downshift is notchy and you have to center the stick to do it consistently

those quirks aside...it handles really well and i put on a ractive short ram intake (i swear there's a whole undistrubed cubic foot of space in the engine bag on the drivers side)...with the stock intake on it wasn't to happy to be revv'd and there was a hesitation at 4,500rpm for no reason...the intake made a huge difference and got rid of that hiccup

as for mods there's not much available for this car (compared to a civic)...there is a turbo out there but it's $3k for the kit...comes with a i/c though...you can also get the mp3 ecu and camshafts to get near 150hp

the real beauty is it's a wagon...and honda doesn't make a real wagon...just suvs and minivans (i hope in 3 years the upcoming tsx will be offered in a wagon variant)...but i read that the new proteges and focus will have the same engine/chassis so i definitely won't get another protege b/c i won't buy a car that was designed by ford that has killed so many people
