Default 88 si overheating...

I just got my head back from the machine shop... turned the cam, all new valves.. so on and so forth... everything checked out...

now it overheats, but the fans kick on...

i can only assume the thermostat is stuck, but i burped it, and the coolant is getting hot...

i think i may have a small intake leak, (idles at 1200) could that cause it to overheat as well?

Did you permanently pull the thermostat? If you leave the thermostat out, the engine will not go into "closed loop" mode, and fuel economy will suffer. Just replace that sucker, it's only like 10 bucks or something...
