Default Low Rpm Lag

I have an 86 crx si. I have sort of turbo lag between 500 and 2100 rpm. I have tried to adjust the timing but it wont advance far enough. Is it possable that the timing belt has sliped a tooth? Or that the distributor has been installed incorrectly? I have been looking for performance parts or engie swap info and have found nothing is there any website I can get this from? And has anyone heard of an EW4 engine?

Is it really a turbo? Or are you just trying to describe the performance issue?

Where have you already looked for parts? google? Anything?

EW4 is the fuel injected 1st-generation CRX Si motor. You'll find the engine designation on the sticker on the upper radiator support, IIRC. -scott
