Default Suggested intake

I want a bit more power but dont want an engine swap, but I will eventually do the engine swap. What is an Intake system you have used and found good? BTW how much would an older d-series vtech cost? Stats of the engine, anything helps.

I got my 1.6D vtech head for $75. As far as the intake goes, depending on how big your throttle body is on your intake manifold, just get an intake with the piping the size of it and run it out. Brand normally doesnt make a difference with a cold air intake, its not like its a special type of tubing. Even though aluminum does conduct heat, you want something that wont conduct as much heat so the air stays cold.

Is all I do to install, take out the rubber pipe and black box with air filter out and replace with pipe? There is a little nozzle it looks like near the filter, and I was wondering what that was?

iceman good....
plastic tube doesn't conduct heat. i got a iceman cold air off of ebay used, and paid $73 for it. it's a long shot to find another one that cheap, but look out for them.
