Default D16A9 rebuilding

I just bought a D16A9 for my '90 DX. The engine is an EDM D 1.6 DOHC NON-VTEC. It produces 130HP stock. I know you guys don't get this engine in USA, but i was wondering if anyone knows if i could use replacement parts off of D16A6 (or any other engine) for it? Like piston rings, bearings, valves, valve guides...?

Engine needs rebuilding, and i was thinking of ordering parts from USA (since everything is so damn expensive here in Croatia), but i need to know if any parts are interchangeable.

Thanks for any help!

the A9 is the same as the JDM DOHC ZC - everything below the top of the block should be D16A6 (except timing belt and crankshaft timing gear) - everything above the top of the block, including head gasket should be D16A1 (except for timing gears)

If anyone is still wondering, i found this page (http://www.quickhonda.net/zc3.htm) that explains what parts from other cars can be used on ZC.

And they said D16A9 is a europian version of ZC.

I have another question.

Main bearings spun on this engine. Engine can still run, but i prefer not turning it on because i fear something else might get damaged. Could crankshaft have received some damage? Once i take the crankshaft out, how do i inspect it for damage? Should i look for any other signs of damage on some other parts?

Hey!
I was also checking for what parts to buy...and on that webpage: http://www.quickhonda.net/zc3.htm it says that engine is mostly the same as 1989 integra...and that integra has D16A1 engine, so i suppose D16A9 is the same as D16A1, or mostly the same.....

D16A6 i think it has weaker piston rods bearings...

I dont know what to order

Did anybody did that and knows which statement is correct.?

Thank you
