The whole point now, is not to stand out, that is the point of a sleeper. I guess I have to spend the $$$ to pass if you know what I mean
yeah, I understand the point is to not stand out, but isn't it to also make it look as close to stock exterior-wise as possible? So wouldn't keeping stock mudflaps work?

^^^ yea you should go down to South Central, they have ghetto Smog Check places, my Rex didn't pass, but then I went down there and paid $25, and they made it pass. It took like 3 tries though. But they cool people.
funny thing is dont turbo setups usually have lower emissions than their n/a counterparts?
i think it has something to do with the heating of the cat to the point where it filters out the crap better?
Yes, they do. If you read the EO article from CARB on the Greddy kit for the GSR, it clearly shows that a new Greddy equipped GSR puts out less "smog" than a new GSR in every possible area of the test.
I don't know if it really has anything to do with heating the cat up better, but rather something the turbo does to the efficiency of fuel combustion to make it cleaner all the way around.
