I just had a new head installed, automatically I noticed that my performace sucks... every gear is shorter and extreamly sluggish, can't even stay at 70 on the highway.

Now i'm getting a check engine light. when i check it out, it's a single, constant flash.

car would be a 91 civic STD.

anyone know what that means? i'm extreamly frustrated after paying almost a thousand dollars to get this stupid thing fixed.

 

what head did they put on it?

 

not sure, i'm guessing the same from the old engine, a d15b1.

could a wrong head be the culprit?

 

A wron head could be the problem but to save yourself some money do a compression check they might not have torqued down the head properlly thus it would run sluggish and your check engine light would flash
