D15A3 block, D16Z6 head?

D15A3 block, D16Z6 head?
I have asked a few relitively knowledgable guys as to the compatibility of the D16Z6 SOHC VTEC head with the D15A3 (87 Si 12v) block and have gotten no straight answers. Does anyone here know if an A3 block can support a Z6 head? I mean, will they bolt together with the cooling passages lining up correctly? Never mind the intake and exhaust bolt patterns or electronics, I just want to know if the head can be made to work. Thanks!
