Default Question about engine swap???

I have a 99 Civic ex and I am about to drop a B18C1 in it. Since I will have an extra engine lying around I am thinking about putting the D16 into my dad's CRX since the stock engine is blown.

I was wondering how hard would the wiring be for VTEC and what all would I need and need to do to swap a D16 in a 1991 CRX?

Youd have to wire up OBD1 (since the CRX is preOBD, and its way to hard to wire up OBD2), and then VTEC... Alternatively you can use a preOBD to OBD1 harness makes it alot easier... Or you could keep it preOBD and run the stock CRX intake manifold/ECU... (If its MPFI) If its DPFI youd also have to wire that up... And get a CRX Si manifold and ECU...

As far as installing, you have to use the CRX tranny because its cable and has 3 of the mounts that bolt right into the chasis... But the tranny will bolt right upto the block no problems... (might wanna get a CRX Si tranny tho for better performance if u have a HF/DX)

And on the engine, under the timing belt theres a bracket for the driver's side engine mount that has to be removed from the stock engine in the CRX and swapped onto the new engine... And use the original CRX mount itself as well... And from there itll bolt right in...
