Gapless Piston rings...
I tried a search, but didn't find my answer on them. I know they elimintate the normal gap in piston rings, decrease blow by, and leakdown, but has anyone used them? What applications do they work best for, or are rings like everything else where OEM Honda is always the best? Thanks.

just use OEM rings - rings are installed with a gap to allow for expansion of the ring when they get hot - with proper gap, under operating conditions, the gap closes up to almost nothing - don't believe total seal's numbers about leakdown of 20% with stock rings - i have run lots of racing engines using stock type rings, properly gapped, with leakdown test numbers in the 2% to 3% range - if their's actually were "total seal", wouldn't they have 0% leakdown?

Right on... that's kind-of what I was thinking but I needed to hear it from someone else too. I also heard they clean most of the oil off the cylinder walls too? Scary, if you ask me; I just had a friend that was all stoked on em... I think he will be changing his mind shortly. Thanks again.
