Default Bad ignition switch?

Hey guys, I'm having problems with my '90 Honda Civic, recently it's been having trouble staying started.. I'll start it, and then all of the sudden the lights in the cluster will go out and the car will die. But usually after a few tries it will get going.. Today I noticed that the check engine light, oil light and all that only comes on when I'm actually turning the key and holding it slight into the start position right before the starter runs. Now the car won't stay running at all unless I hold the key into the start position just barely. Does this sound like a bad ignition switch or maybe something else?

Nevermind, I think I answered my own question. I pulled off the ignition switch and part of it's literally melted. I'll change that and hopefully it'll be the end of my problems..
