Default power steering

What if my civic didn't come with power steering, do I have to change the rack and pinion, or can I just minus the power steering pump on the motor. (Doing a b16a swap)

what?
If you drive an EF, you just throw the B16a in and unbolt the pump if it comes with one. You don't have the touch the steering system.

So, you drive an EF without power steering? If you swap in a B16A with a power steering pump, do exactly as ED9man says and throw out the PS pump and bracket. It's worthless.
