Default 91 Civic Lx Chipability? (newb)

Are you able to chip a obd 0 PM5 ecu? I've looked around and it seems like only obd 1 and up can be chipped?

There's no point in chipping a DPFI ECU.

OK, you want a straight answer? You can chip any Honda PGM-FI computer you want to.

I hope you're an electrical engineer with access to a dyno though, because you'll have to do it alone. No one is dumb enough to develop a chip for a DPFI computer.

Straight swap the ECU, no. You can fairly easily convert it to MPFI with an Si or EX intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, distributor, ECU, and a few other bits. With the PM6 ECU, you can grow pretty well... your main concern right now should be swapping in a better engine because a simple chip won't get you far. A blacktop ZC is only a few hundred bucks, bolts in, and offers major improvement.

How do you get a .bin file from a chip? Say I want to get my PM5 ECU and read it, and make changes to the fuel maps and burn a new chip. I don't care if you think it's not worth it, I'm just curious of how you get a .bin from an ECU?
