Default tire/wheel question

y0

i have some si's rims i might be picking up but i have a question first........

i have a 90 hatch dx that is lowered (cut springs from previous owner) and is sitting on the stock 13's. these si's are 15's as we all know and the tires that are already on them are like 205/55/15's or some shit......i don't know jack about tire sizes and what not and i won't have the chance to "try them on" so what do you guys think?? would they rub like hell???? i am going to put new shocks/struts/springs pretty soon which leads to the other question.....what is a good combination for this? thanks for your input!

Your stock tires should be 175/70/13. 15" equivalent of those would be 195/50/15 (most commonly used). 205/55/15 would be 1cm wider and a bit bigger in diameter.

You might want to google for "tire size calculator" and learn a bit about tire sizes...it's really pretty simple, if you know 3rd grade maths

Go with 205-50-15 or 195-50-15..

This would depend on how low your car is. If you're already tucking the 13's, then you might have a problem with the 15's. But if the current stance of your car still shows the top of your tire (from looking at it from the side) then you should still be okay.
