dohc zc
are the dohc zc engines any good becuase i am looking at a 189 crx with one in it and i might get it but i wanted to know if they where better to build than a d16y8 what i have in my current civic.

Its debatable...
The DOHC ZC is an older engine (more wear and tear), with less after market support... But its Dual Cam, and is good turbo'd...
The Y8 is a newer engine (less wear and tear), more after market support, but its single cam... Also takes well to boost...
They are both about the same HP, give or take a few... And both are decent engines... Id personally probably take the Y8 (or even the D16Z6) over the ZC tho, because it can be tuned alot easier if made OBD1, as opposed to the ZC which is preOBD...

True... But the OBD1's are much harder to find... Then again, u can always make them OBD1... Im still curious about the SOHC VTEC ZC whether or not its a real engine... That would also be OBD1...
