Default Project: Civic Si

My lil bro just got an 89 Civic Si and is planning to swap in a b16a1 in a bit. The problem is, is that if I recall correctly, a b16a1 requires a cable tranny and I dont know anything about it and would rather not fawk wit it. Any pros and cons of the cable tranny to hydro tranny? Thanks guys. Look at the beautiful thumbnails.

Cable tranny is what is in an EF... So it wont be a problem... Would be much harder to swap in a hydro tranny into that car... And its a rather simple design, no lines to have to worry about, clutch slave, ect, just the cable to the clutch pedal (basically like a throttle cable)...

Yeah that's a steal. Where did you bro get the si for 250. I'd love to get me another si for that price.B16A1 your bro will enjoy the performance. Not the most torque but can't beat the power.100 hp per liter in a 1.6. Good luck with the swap.I'm sure you can do a B18C1 also but would be more expensive.
