Yesterday I was driving and when I came to a stop I heard a noise, then as I was about to go, my first and all the other gears wouldn't go in. Then I finally forced first gear in and my other gears started working but they were very rough. When I got home I drained the tranny oil, and the oil was real shiny like it had a whole bunch of gliter. I refilled it with new oil and tried driving it around my block and it seemed to drive well except for all of my gears going in roughly, and once in a while It wouldn't go into any gear. I was wondering if it is safe to drive short trips until I get my new zc tranny.

i would say and shifting would only make the problem worse. wish i had an answer for you.
