i might get an f22a6 for free!!!
would an f22a6 fit in a first gen crx? cause thats what i have, and since i was gonna get a ZC, this would actually be better. its sohc though isnt it? the guy says its like 150 hp, so why not. this is only if he gets his H22, but he says when he does, i can have the old engine. also, would my stock tranny hook up to it? cause his is auto and i would NEVER drive an automatic, especially in a crx. right now im working on a turbo for the rex so if i got the f22 i would just slap the turbo on there!

that would be one hell of a swap. I don't even know if the engien bay is wide enough on a 1st gen... The tranny will definitely not bolt up. I think I'd pass on this one...

the f22a6 was the 90-93 honda accord ex engine...it made 140 hp @ 5600 rpm and 142 lb ft tq @ 5400 rpm
for a 88-91 crx/civic the engine bay will require extensive modification to get such a large engine to fit...the aftermarket does not have much for that engine either
a better car for that transplant is a 5g/6g civic where there is more room and the chassis can handle such a heavy engine
and if i'm right...the shift linkage on the f22b6 is also cable that'll require cutting the firewall to run the cable below the shifter mechanism...like the h22a series and other f22b engines

The torque from the F22 will probably make your doors fall off!!!!!!!!
I'd go ahead and sell the F22 is someone is giving it to you and use it to buy parts for your ZC. Get some Crower regrinds for starters!!!
ZC is a dohc engine. It's great. You can get a sohc ZC, just make sure you know what you're purchasing!!! They have a brown cover, I think.
