Default engine cranks

Is there any difference in the HF crank and the Si crank, i need to build up my d16a6 but i dont have a crank, would the hf one work or would it snap at high rpms

Yes there is a difference. There isn't enough stroke in the HF crank. If you put it in your d16 block your pistons won't reach the top of the deck.

You could see it that way but it would be like putting a b16 crank in a b18 block. You would have to boost like 7-10psi just to make up that stroke that you lost.
