Default engine predicamint

i just bought a crx with a b16a engine swap and it came with turbo and intercooler but it is also dropped and the intercooler is pretty low to the ground so im afraid that when i drive, its gonna scrap or dent the intercooler, any ideas how i can raise the engine or anything?

If you are that concerned-you need to raise the car and relocate the intercooler ductwork.

^^ Yep... But my guess is, if u were gonna have a problem, it would already have some rash on it from bottoming out... Otherwise, I wouldnt worry about it... Id honestly worry more about my oil pan than anything else... My already looks like its been hit a few too many times...

You have no options for "raising the engine." You need to lift the entire car or deal with what you have.

In most cars, there is a lot of stuff that will scrape before an intercooler would.

you would not believe the intercooler (ic) piping i've seen on some poorly built kits...the piping would literally hang 1" lower than anyother item on the car (giving it 1" ground clearance)...upon visual inspection of the pipe it was bent and scratched to heck and back again with holes causing boost leaks

if you have this problem just even raising the car will only help a little...ic piping shouldn't stick out below the engine bay nor should the ic b/c it can be easily damaged just be a speed bump you go over slowly

Actually, yeah, I would. I've seen the same thing, like intercooler piping going under the radiator support. I don't know why people do that, it's not hard to properly run it in Hondas. :happysad:
