Default underheating inside, overheating engine

I Have a CRX, first the heat in the heating system stopped and was just blowing cold air, then it started over heating, then it started over revving itself. any ideas?All in the space of 30mins.

sounds like you have a bad thermostat. The over reving part I dont know I need more info?

can't give any more info than that at the moment, pitch black and no lights. Thought maybe the fan is kupput/belt/pump busted......
