i don't know how to wire in v-tec or think anyone here does? http://www.vtec.co.uk/index.asp
now, as for honda's "VTEC" (that is how it is properly spelled)...there are several diy articles that show you how to wire up VTEC...however you are missing giving us very important information...what car is this going into? what ecu are you using?...please note that when asking info please do not assume we will read sigs or avatars

rpm activated switch
yo, i have that same setup and i used an rpm activated switch. its defidently the wrong way to do it because the switch dosent sensor oil presure, i just activates vtec regrdless of the nessary parameters that vtec requires. there about 45 dollers from summitracing.com to wire that you will need a auto relay, radio shack, and the switch. i dont remember where exactly everything goes gading wiring because im not standing in front of my car right now but the switch needs power only when the car is on, so either wire it to the ignition cylinder or what i did was splice my head unit 12 volt power wire.
the correct and obvious way to do it is to buy a vtec controller.

I would suggest getting a chip and chipping ur ECU to lower your RPM where VTEC kicks in. If you do it the ghetto way it is cool, cuz u can flip a switch, and BAM it on. BUt then again lowering your VTEC to low is not good. Mine is set at 4500. It is a nice kick from 4500 to 8200. But go ahead and do what you want. For a little extra show you can throw a VTEC light in your car. So when VTEC kicks in the light comes on.

It's really easy. If i had pics i would show you guys. You'r going to need pins for the ecu. You might be able to get them from the dealer. Where are you located. If your local i'll be more then happy to help you out.

You will have to wire it for OBD-I first and foremost, or get a sub harness... And then you can worry about VTEC, it is 3 wires from my understanding, VTEC pressure switch, VTEC solenoid, & knock sensor...
Howto that might help...
