zc(dohc)
hey how hard is it to drop a zc(dohc) motor in to a 91 civiv hatchback. I found one pretty cheap. and I don't know how well it will work out, or if it would be worth it. the motor and trany togeather is only 600 bucks, any one have any thoughts?
i Think if you get the 2nd gen ZC which is the most common and is OBD just like the hatch you have, no wiring mods, no mount mods, just drops right in and expect about a 2 second e/t drop if your hatch was stock.
It took my brother and I 2 days to drop a ZC...taht was never having done a swap before. If you have any inkling of knowledge it could be done in one day. Power tools are key...and  PB Blaster!!!!
Yep, two wires are the only things that you'll have to do that's not already on your car.......you'll also need different radiator hoses.

does this motor make the anyfaster, in other words is worth 600, or should I just pay 300 for a trany for my car and then do thye b16a later (I am hoping to do a b16 sometime next summer.
thanks for the help

well considering you have a 91 hatch and i am assuming its dx it weighs 2127 pounds and has 92 hp and runs a 17.96 stock. Now if you want with the DOHC ZC motor you would be adding 45 hp from stock and be running somewhere around a 15.73. Now please explain to me how 2 seconds is not worth 600 bucks? :P

where do you live? if you got a long winter, then just wait for the b16 cause there's no reason to have a zc when theres snow on the ground. But, if racing season is year-round where you live, then yea, i'd get the zc. $600 minus resale of the engine is most definitely worth months of fun
. Plus, if you're doing the swap, you'll gain some experience with swapping the zc before moving in the more involved b-series swap.but its up to you
