check the fuel filter too!!
my bro bought a 91 caddy and the previous owner took my bro's $1700 offer because the previous owner said that there was probs in the fuel system. It was just a clogged filter. If theres impurities[sp?] around the fuel filter, the fuel filter will become saturated and clogged. Then the engine stops, and the impurities settle.

Is it safe to buy a used pump?...because a new pump is outrageously expensive...but..if I buy a used pump am I just wasting my money. I looked around a while back and found a used one for $150 CAN...where as the new one was $450 CAN.
Any thoughts?

one thing i do is when i'm not 100% positive of what is wrong i bring it to the dealer and tell them my symptons...they will diagnose the problem for free and you can then get a more professional opinion of what the problem is...it's likely that they know exactly what it is before they even do tests
A dealer will do something for free!? Really!?
Somehow never thought that possible...
I've asked everywhere...I've been told to check the following...
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pressure
Vapour Lock
Main Relay
Fuel Filter
Plugs Wires
Misc.
Anything else I should add to the list?

Anyone got any ideas of things I should add to my list above that could be causing this??
