Default car just died

The wifes wagon just stopped today at the light and would crank but wouldn't start then it just started running fine again. Its a bit damp today rainy and I do need to do plugs and wires and other stuff to it. Its been idling latley at 1000 or real close could these problems be from not having a tune up. Its a 1.6 122000 miles and usually runs the best of all the hondas we have. I drove it back home and it was fine just idling high.

if the distributor/rotor/plug wires check out fine then check the main relay (behind drivers side coinbox)...sometimes when it gets hot a connection fails causing the car to stall

It could be a lot of things. Bad ground maybe. You said it was damp. I've seen an idle go from rough as a cob to smooth as silk by using good grounds.

Worth a shot.

Sounds like the distro. Maybe water somehow got inside the cap.

i pulled the plugs and wires and the wires were **** and two plugs were covered in oil. I changed the plugs and started it up and it ran flawless but still stuck at 1000 rpm.

Under the valve cover are seals that keep the oil from leaking into the the spark plug housings. You should replace them to or else the same problem will probably happen again.

pull off the valvecover and replace all the gaskets (sounds like it needs it)...the kit is cheap at any autoparts store
