Having a hard time removing the oil pan.

Default Having a hard time removing the oil pan.

I went through alot just to take the manifold out that is connected tot he down pipe since i couldn't remove the screws of the DP. anyways i took the screws off the oil pan butt hat baby does not want to budge. What can i do? Since I have the exhaust manifold out anything i can do to it to perform better?

very gently use a wide standard screw driver and wedge it into the oil pan gasket (rubber and might be hard to move) when you get the gasket pushed back some twist it gently and slightly and it should loosen up the oil pan to pull it off...i often use a small pry bar that has a very wide tip...you are replacing the oil pan gasket anyway (they are cheap)

yes the seal, it would lose oil but i did notice soem of the screws were loose i guess from driving it for 14 years and 2 screws were missing
