Default Front end swap

OK so I have a 1987 civic CRX si and I recked the front-end, I have been trying to find parts for it but its like pulling teeth, No one carrys any parts for a car that old , My ? is how hard would it be to swap out the front end of a newer civic to my 87, Any help would be Great

A huge pain in the ass. The 84-87 front is narrower then the newer models.

I never had problems finding 84-87 body parts. :dunno:

Have You tried Junkyards or ads in paper to find parts or even try E-bay to see what they have ...... Dude Just look around and I am pretty sure you can find parts for your car!!!!!!

Honda dealer?
Expensive, but I bet they carry them.

Aftermarket body places usually have them, as to junkyards. If not, junkyards are still the places to ask... they know all the other local yards and usually have a parts locator service.

Alright I have been calling around and no junkyards in my area have any front end parts or even any old style civics, I called a body supply company but there prices were throught the roof I just wondered how hard it would be to do that so I could get by a little cheaper. THANKS

The internet is littered with parts places. A 20 second google search turned up this place: http://www.hondapartspro.com/

It's kinda amusing that their 84-87 Civic parts are 1/3 the price of the 84-87 CRX parts.

There are plenty of e-junkyards to search too.

i did the 92-95 civic to 99-00 civic si front end conversion... love it too... its definetly worth it to be unique...

the 5G and 6G cars are almost perfectly identical in body dimensions. The 4G is about 2-3 inches wider then the 3G, so it's not that simple.
