whats heavier, 90 std civic hatch or 90 crx hf? or how much do each of then weigh?
I remember reading a figure of ~2100lbs for my '91 CRX Si somewhere on the net. The '90-'91s were a little heavier than the '88-'89s because they got additional side impact protection (GOOD in my book) and maybe some other things. I don't really know what my car weighs, perhaps a little less because I don't have A/C (though I wish I did). The HF is the lightest CRX, because it is the most stripped down model. That and the fact that they are PGM-FI make them a favorite for motor swaps.
i test drove the hatch and here are the bads. big cracks on windshield, no muffler, and the tranny grinds. the good is it has new front brake pads, new front tires, and the mpfi. mang i dont think ima buy it. how much does a tranny go for? and windshield and exhaust? i think the clutch is bout to go too, doesnt grab. i dont want to buy a 600 dollar car and end up payin like 1k to fix it.
If I were you dude...I would go ahead and get the hatch and replace the windshield, tranny and all that good stuff trust me putting a thousand in the car would be worth it in my opinion........
You can usually get a windshield for about $175 up to $250 depending on where you go for it. You can get your clutch off of ebay for about $125 do not and I repeat DO NOT go to Auto Zone cause the clutch kits they have really suck. As far as your tranny see if you cant get it rebuilt for cheap or go to your local junkyard or parts shop or even on Ebay to find it......Hope I Helped!!!!!!
Good Luck!!
