1986 CRX SI Idea's...
Hey guys, my girl just picked up an 86 SI for cheap, and she wants to make it a little more unique than it is now. What visual mods are available for this year? I know very little about rex's so all help would be appreciated. I think the first gen years are 84-87? Will any of the parts from the 2nd gen fit? Like bumper, etc... Please give me all idea's and info. so I can help her out a little. Thanks, Michael

The only option you have for a body kit is the Andy's Autosport kit, and that looks horrible.
Second gen parts do not fit. I still don't know why so many people ask this, it's a pretty stupid question.

You ricers and your looks, drive it, its a mass produced car, not some fashion statement that needs to be unique so you can be picked out like a sore thumb.
Put some money into it driving better.

there is a mugen replica kit that can be had. i dont remember who sells it but i could find out. also, if it doesnt have a front lip already, hook that up and it makes it look a little meaner. theres also a carbon fiber hood that eliminates the header panel, since those are prone to crack anyway. other than that there isnt much you can do besides stickers and wings.
also, you could get 2nd gen si seats and put em in there. they require a little cutting to the pan to make em fit, but its a pretty easy job.
oh yea, and if youre into that 80's look, you could convert it to '85 headlights. theyre the inset type. definitely a unique look.
