Use the Type-R ECU it comes with.

I envy you... :sqfawk: Where did you get your C5 from and for how much. That's such a sweet swap. I was considering that same swap myself into a 90' Rex, but unfortunately money is an object for me. After consulting the board I decided that the B18C1 is the way to go (is 15 more hp worth $1,000 more?) But that's still awesome that you're going to have a Type-R Rex. Good luck with the swap!

i havent got the motor yet, but i have found a few prospects, and the money thing ive had to give up a lot of conforts for it. as for power its not the 15 hp its the 400 over all with super charger and with the titanium insides it the bullet proofness and the opertunity for a larg shot of nos giving me an almost untoughiable car i hope hehe

damn man, it looks like you're going all out. But what I meant by the 15hp difference was between the C1 and C5, that's about all there is. The C5 is just a limited production version of the C1 that was hand tuned to make it slightly more powerful (technically). Whatever you do to the motor afterwards is a different story. Just think about it though, if you got a C1 instead and saved the $1,000, that's a little less than half a turbo kit right there. I guess you wouldn't have to bulletproof it if you kept it boosted under 9 psi. As for the supercharger idea, I never really was a fan, but it has it's benefits over a turbo and vice versa. Oh yeah... Nitrous :a:

Meh, I don't think it's smart to convert the OBD0 vehicle to OBD2. Unless mandatd by smog officials in your locale.

More commonly (why reinvent the wheel, eh?), would be to convert to OBD1 and use a chipped ecu.

Well, I think it was you that had given me advice before when I was considering my C5 swap. I than realized that the C1 is a better choice. The C5 can be really overrated sometimes, but it's still a nice motor.

BTW, what is OBD?
