I was driving home and my car started to act weird all of the sudden. I would be driving along at about 40 mph and it would suddenly start to feel sluggish and dragging so I'd give it a little more throttle and it stumbled and still felt funny like the bottom end power was gone. It felt like it kept misfiring. The higher rpm's still felt fine though. So then I gave it like half throttle and the engine light came on. It's been coming on when I did similar things earlier like giving it a lot of throttle at a lower rpm but it has never felt weird until today. I looked at the ECU and it was a steadily blinking red light that blinked once about every 1 1/2 seconds. Can someone help diagnose my problem please.

 

Vac leak? Does it idle OK?
Did you pull the codes from the check engine light?

I can't find the thing he's talking about so if I give you a picture can you point it out?

 

it's the same thing as watching the Led in the ecu, the ECU will flash one time to show its on. If it continues to flash over and over, that signifies a code.

long flashes are 10 short are 1
