Do you have you plug wires hooked up right?

cje2310,
I'm not sure if you can do this in one of these engines, but could the distributor be 180 degrees out? This happened to me on my Rover, put the dizzy back in, 180 degrees of and nothing fired...
I think when I replaced an o ring on my old Integra's dizzy shaft it was notched so the thing couldn't be put together incorrectly...but as I said, I'm not sure what the shaft is like on these distributors...never even had it apart on my 1984...

simple solution might be that u have your firing order off or it could be that your plugwires altogether just aren't hooked up... check your electrical, i know it's a pain, but still, it could save money

timing belt will cause it to turn over and not start. are you sure it is firing and your timing isn't off?
