Default What the hell is this?

Today I dropped the tranny to put my SPEC stage 1 clutch in. I noticed there was a line coming from the firewall to the tranny. It look like some kind of temp sensor. Can anyone tell me what it is and if it is important, thanks.

The only sensor's I know of that go in Honda manual transmissions is the reverse sensor. Are you sure it's not your clutch cable?

Sounds like the VSS, if not the reverse switch. Most likely the VSS.

The clutch cable looks nothing like a temp sensor, so I doubt it was that.

Yes, I am pretty sure the clutch cable was taken out(a bunch of people working on it). What is a VSS?

Basically, it is a line that goes from the transaxle up to the speedometer. There is a little gear on the end of the cable, inside the transaxle, that spins with the trans gears and the speedo converts that into a MPH reading.
