Default Thermo Gauge

Damn, I just punish ya'll with questions. Anyhow, this is the deal. My friend tried to hook a tach the way he did in his Si, by running the wires to the back of the gauge cluster. Well, he though the "T" stood for Tach. Wrong. Like I told him. It stood for Thermostat. Well, anyhow. After he played with the three screws (+/-/T), he finally agreed with me. Now my Thermo gauge doesn't activate with the car. It just seems dead. Any help?

What do you mean by "T". On the back of the instrument cluster???? im confused there...... well wut kind of car does he have right now?.if he has a honda there is usually a blue wire at the back of the instrument cluster that is for rmp..so all you have to do is cut it and crimp it to the wire for your tach and the tach should be good to go.
