Then get an Si cluster. Remove yours, plug up the Si cluster. They're pretty cheap too, cheaper then an aftermarket tach.

The only way I know to engage VTEC off a tach is through a shift light output, and that's a bad idea. That's why you use an RPM switch, it is probably the most common way of engaging VTEC in LS/VTEC and mini-me hydrids along with rewiring for the ECU to do it with the proper ECU.

please for the love of the turbo. dont put it on until hes been driving for at least a year,hes gonna kill himself or kill the motor.hes really lucky to have you as a dad.but back on track stick with auto meter/auto gauge
auto meter makes cheaper version of the classic but just with out the push button recall,thats what i have and its about $95 cheaper. start rackin up those tickets
